What You’ll Do
  • Lead product design-for-manufacture (DFM), validation, and release for new product introductions.
  • Translate customer needs and field feedback into scalable product solutions that perform across markets.
  • Manage CAD design, materials selection, drawings, and BOM accuracy through NetSuite.
  • Oversee testing, certification, and compliance (drop testing, Prop 65, RoHS, REACH, etc.).
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure seamless handoff from prototype to production.
  • Develop and enforce product engineering SOPs, design standards, and revision control.
  • Maintain structured documentation to ensure repeatability, traceability, and accountability.
  • Act as the technical steward for product quality, manufacturability, and reliability across the portfolio.
  • Build the foundation for a growing engineering function, setting standards that scale with the business.
Who You Are
  • 10+ years in product or manufacturing engineering, ideally in hardware, consumer electronics, or durable goods.
  • Strong command of CAD, PDM, and ERP systems (SolidWorks and NetSuite experience a plus).
  • Skilled in plastics, mechanical assemblies, or surface finishing for high-reliability products.
  • Experienced with testing protocols, compliance documentation, and quality validation for regulated markets.
  • Process-obsessed, documentation-driven, and passionate about turning customer problems into elegant solutions.
  • Hands-on and pragmatic; comfortable as the first and primary technical voice, but ready to build a team as the company grows.
